CLA has experience providing certified arborist consultation services such as tree mitigation reports, risk assessment, appraisals, evaluations, exhibits and construction monitoring for architects, engineers, governmental agencies, institutions, FDOT, FDEP, churches, developers and residents. 

CLA provides arborist services such as tree mitigation reports, risk assessment, evaluation and construction monitoring, for municipal infrastructure projects. Some examples of the municipal improvement projects include neighborhood retrofits, pump station upgrades, urban corridors and canopy road protection impacts.

CLA has experience with multiple projects within Canopy Road Protection Zones (CRPZ) in Leon County.  Arborist assessment, mitigation reports and monitoring are services provided for utility improvements, driveway connections, site development, etc. Successful interactions to advance projects typically include planning meetings with City / County staff, CRCC meeting attendance, preconstruction meetings and final compliance walkthroughs.

David L. Cowles, Jr. is an ISA Certified Arborist and a professional member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Such membership demonstrates a willingness on the part of the arborist to stay up to date on the latest techniques and information. Certified Arborists are experienced professionals who have passed an extensive examination covering all aspects of tree care. They must adhere to the ISA Certified Arborist Code of Ethics. Certified Arborists must also recertify every three (3) years, obtaining 30 CEUs and pay a recertification fee.
